Be it a display length, end of roll, impulse buy at a designer sale, every bit is precious.
After nearly 30 years of running a soft furnishing workroom the stash is getting out of hand. There is now barely room for us in our (not inconsiderable) space.
Having overwhelmed the local primary schools with scraps for their crafting projects, and as sending fabric to landfill is simply not an option, something needed to be done. So we have created a new brand called FUTUREWORKS. Beginning with simple cushions, we will be exploring new ways to use our treasures creatively.
We have chosen an elegant flanged-edged design, backed with our favourite white herringbone linen and fastened with a concealed zip. The cushions are supplied complete with a luxurious feather filled pad, ethically sourced from within the EU. Some of the more open weave fabrics are lined with a soft cotton lawn. The cushions come in 3 sizes, and occasionally there will be some fabric remaining to make a second cushion, so if you need a pair please ask. However, pattern placement will vary as it is our aim to use up the fabric efficiently.
Each quarter, several beautiful cushions will land on the Chausey website. We hope you love them. Each is unique – so when they’re gone, they’re gone!
